Day 2 - hands-on cooking & wine bodega

START THE DAY WITH THE FILLING, HEALTHY AND YET TASTY TYPICAL CATALAN BREAKFAST!

OFF TO THE LOCAL MARKET TO BUY AND SAMPLE PRODUCE FOR THE COURSE.

FIRST HANDS-ON COOKING CLASS - GETTING TO GRIPS WITH THE GREAT CULTURAL INVENTION OF THE SPANISH 'TAPA', WHICH WILL BE OUR LUNCH SO WE'LL MAKE A GOOD JOB OF IT!

EXCURSION TO A LOCAL WINE BODEGA TO VISIT THE VINEYARDS AND TASTE THE TIPPLE

FOR DINNER WE WILL STROLL INTO THE RESTAURANT IN THE NEARBY LOCAL VILLAGE NIGHT-CAP BACK AT THE HOUSE BEFORE BED

Day 3 - Medieval villages in Emporda

TOUR OF SOME OF THE AREA'S STUNNING MEDIEVAL VILLAGES AND CHARMING LANDSCAPE

WE HAVE A LUNCH RESERVATION IN ONE OF THE VILLAGES

BACK TO THE HOUSE FOR THE SIESTA

AFTERNOON HANDS-ON COOKERY LESSON PREPARING A NATIONAL SPECIALITY FOR DINNER

Day 4 - Anchovy, siesta & rice

BREAKFAST AS USUAL WITH THE LOCAL PRODUCE

TRIP TO SPAIN'S MOST FAMOUS ANCHOVY FACTORY ON THE COAST

TIME TO LOOK AROUND THE TOWN BEFORE WE TRAVEL TO A RICE GROWING AREA WHERE WE WILL STOP FOR LUNCH AND TRY THE LOCAL GRAIN OURSELVES AT A RESTAURANT THAT SPECIALISES IN RICE DISHES

SIESTA BACK AT THE HOUSE

THE AFTERNOON WILL BE GIVEN OVER TO HANDS ON COOKING CLASS AND PREPARING OUR DINNER

Day 5 - Medieval Girona & hands-on cooking

TRIP INTO THE BEAUTIFUL MEDIEVAL TOWN OF GIRONA AND THE PROVINCE'S CAPITAL

PLENTY OF TIME TO SHOP (THE TOWN HAS MORE SHOPS PER CAPITA THAN ANY OTHER IN SPAIN!) THERE IS THE CHANCE TO SIGHTSEE AND FIND A GOOD RESTAURANT FOR LUNCH
